As a Christian independent girls’ school, Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Melbourne aims to provide breadth, strength, balance and quality of education in both the national and international context for the purpose of encouraging leadership, service and life-long personal development and learning.
The Disappearing poet and teacher, Cathy Altmann, ran three poetry workshops (independent from the Red Room Education program) with several Year 7 students. They looked at making poetry which was ‘sensory’, ‘unexpected’ and ‘specific’. They tossed fruit around, played word games, generated unexpected metaphors, and gave feedback to each other.
