Times Flying By – Alexis Charalambous

Trees and bushland cut or bulldozed down
When you see it happening it could make you frown

For the natural land is disappearing
But these new buildings are just appearing

Things that are appearing are quite modern
But the old traditions are being forgotten

Author’s note: On the main street of Bega are the main stores and supermarkets. They are mostly modern and most of the old stores and ways we used to travel around has been changed in multiple ways. When I was young there used to be lots of old, unique, architecture on most of the buildings. Only some certain buildings are being restored, but the rest were taken down and replaced by a more modern building. More trees and bushland has been cut down and replaced with man-built objects.
