The Photo Booth – Emilia Johansson

We captured a moment right there
sealed it with a white frame
gave it a glimpse, remembered
and forgot

We were clinging onto each other in there
a square meter for the four of us
trying to fit in the camera lens
afraid we might fall out
fall out of memory
or just out of this moment of perfection, I’m not sure

within five seconds or so
it was over

Funny poses, outrageous behavior
it didn’t really matter then
we shared a moment
that nobody else

It’s strange though
How much a line of photos can mean
it’s all blurry and without color
But oh how well that defines a time
that I can come back to
only by seeing
our silly faces
