Stand Tall – GT Sewell

The wind carried the words through Bakery Hill.
For the white, and, the blue. The blood that was spilt.
So many have gathered, so many shall fall.
We are in this together, by oath we have sworn.
Stand tall for your rights.
Stand tall through this fight.
For the future you are giving,
will long pass deaths sight.
Cold hours before found silence in all.
Til dawn when all rose, to take them once more.
Bloodied dirt the outcome, both father and son.
True soldiers stood tall, without uniform.
We thank you by honor, for your last fall.
This 3rd day of December, 1854.
Stand tall for your rights.
Stand tall through this fight.
For the future you are giving,
will long pass deaths sight.
So many lives lost, before sun washed away dawn.
A battle for 5 stars, you’ve left us to mourn.
Your courage, you Life, without uniform.
To this, we give you a star, brightest of all.
Woven into the fabric of this nations soul.
We hold our heads high, top of the pole.
For the wind carries your courage, to this very day.
Life as we make it. Eureka Stockade.
