Left to Our Own Devices – Lucinda Gray

Photos are not used to capture memorises,

messages are not used to communicate.

Tradition is disappearing.

It’s not about love or affection.

Judged first by looks,

blocking out any meaning or personality.

We are absorbed by technology,

unconscious to the people around you,

looking through each other,

while you’re looking through your phone,

creating profiles so that they like and

accept us.

Tradition has disappeared.

Our social skills are gone

And we are left to our own devices.
