Kibble – Daniel Francis

They dug up old Kibble Park like an exorcism,

Burying the homeless, the drug dealing vagrants,

Needles, pill poppers and methadone cups deep

Down under the ground above a new facade

A bubbling brook, a new playground, pavilion music

Wafting out over lunch time cafe crowds like a daydream

Rose colored glasses tinting truth kept at bay

By security guards, Police patrols and dogs

They will dig it up again covering like new

Whilst the band in the pavilion plays the Blues
