Himalayan Mountains – Ellie

I see the mountains burdened with snow
Mountains melting, sugared with minute diamonds
Blankets of melting waves stitched with chunks of snow and ice
I cup crushed snow in my hands and smell lemonade
In the mint-fogged air
The swirl of wind whisks past my ears
The cry of a wolf, the chirping of birds, defeat the silence
The mountain, the wood-crafter’s masterpiece
Each carving a new stepping stone
I love the mystery in their shadow
The mountains are burdened with snow
